INTRODUCTION

FILE INDEX

This help document is to provide links to descriptive information on the various and vast file additions done by the EAW community, most of this material was done in the late 1999 year and on into the early 2000's to 2005 and some beyond. I've placed download links to open folders, those folders contain the files that are available.  

These File Pages are not a complete indexed list of what I have in the EAWHS File archives (as linked below), but they list a lot of the more popular files, even rare hard to find ones, even ones you can't get anywhere else in a collection like this. I have more files than indexed entries. Its always a WIP for me :)

So since May 2015 I have been re-archiving what the EAW community had and has to offer, using existing web sites, the wayback machine (old sites), what virtual pilots send me and the Tally-Ho stored EAW community web sites and files that Sandbagger has saved over the years since 2001. (You will find 85% of the files I have are from Tally-Ho but in different forms; such as archive size, content, file name and location.) I have re sorted and categorized these archives especially for new users.

The files I have listed here is primarily for the official standard EAW Game. I do have a bunch of files for the unofficial versions and types as well but not listed except for the unofficial hex edit 'patches' that are a bit interesting.

These pages are still in a very early design stage despite the numerous revisions. It will be revised further to contain rewritten text, moved sections, more add-on , mods and tool information, including troubleshooting, technical support and some background information on select items. Any help is appreciated to flesh out these details with first hand usage text descriptions, etc. and is welcomed.

• ADD-ONS - provides information regarding many of the larger mission packages, that in some cases include nearly full conversion of the game to cater to a new theater of operations.
  
  
• DEMO and PATCHES - EAW Demo, Trial and patches. Custom made game "patches", as they have been come to be known as. Such as Source Modified and Hex Edited patches are here, including the two official MPS patches are listed as well, v1.1 and v1.2 in different languages. The English patches being the most popular to use for compatibility sake.
  
  
• FIXES - Registry fixes and Wrapper Programs with some other slightly modified exe files and OS launchers.
  
  
• SCREENS - Provides new Menu Screens that are typically used at the beginning of a game, before flight. Hanger screens and misc screens too.
  
  
• GROUND OBJECTS - Provides information on the objects placed on the terrain, this includes Trees as they are objects as well.
  
  
• MISC - Provides miscellaneous items, some unknown, as I don't know what they are used for in the game.
  
  
• PLANE MODS - Provides information on the available mods to customize your planes and game, inside and out. Such as cockpits, instruments, including Effects and Render mods.
  
  
• SOUNDS - Many sounds that are a big improvement over the standard stock sounds. You'll find new sounds and sound fixes, as well as speech packs.
  
  
• TERRAIN - Ground graphics, including Sky, Cloud and Water Tiles.
  
  
• TOOLS - For Editing EAW.
  
  
• TOOLS and INSTRUCTIONS - Reference FAQs, Instructions and Manuals.
  
  
• MY DOWNLOADS - Some of what I offer or maintain, my self.
  
  
• EAW Code - Explains the need for a source game update for use on into the future without wrappers, but to run perfectly and natively.
